Crazy, crazy, crazy....

Sorry it has been so long. Things around here have been nuts. Sky was preparing to test for tech, I got slammed with school, we were watching a dog, then I was working on an application, cover letter, and resume for a job. So lots of writing, thinking, working... But first snowboarding.

We went on a snowboarding trip on the 5 and 6th to a resort called Naqua Shirakami. It was a good time. We did two runs when we arrived and it was pretty rough because I still can't go on my toe edge so my quadriceps were KILLING me. But after we did those two runs we decided to go and eat at the buffet. At the buffet we had what I like to call the dinner challenge. Chris is big on trying everything so he ended up with raw cuttlefish guts. Then Gian, who is only big on trying things he thinks will be tasty ended up with what he thought was some sort of apple custard. Apparently it tasted like lard. Well Chris started mixing the cuttlefish and the apple lard together and then decided he would pay Michelle 7000 yen if she would eat it. There was a large spoonful of this nastyness but Michelle went for it after some deliberation. It. Was. EPIC. She wasn't able to swallow it so she ended up throwing up a little but it was hilarious. She was a trooper about it. So, after dinner silliness we went up to our rooms. The girls and I shared a room and the boys shared one. The guys and Satoko went snowboarding again at the terrain park to do some jumps and stuff and Michelle and I were going to get massages and then we were all going to go to a festival together. They were supposed to come meet us back at the room but one of Chris' bindings broke so Michelle and I ended up just staying in since we didn't know where to go.

But after that we all ended up going to the onsen. It was Michelle's first time ever and it was my first time in a VERY long time. It was, interesting. lol We were really uncomfortable at first and it took everything in our power not to turn and leave but we knew if we wanted to do anymore snowboarding the next day we would need the hot water. So we proceeded. It was nice showering down there because there was actually conditioner (there wasn't any in our room). Then we walked quickly (hiding in towels) to the onsen. The water was amazing. Thankfully when we were in the actual bath there wasn't really anyone else in there. It made it a little less awkward. Also we were extremely worried that because we were Americans that people would stare at us but they really didn't so that was good. It was really fun, I'm excited for next season. I'm hoping I'll be able to get gear before then so I don't have to rent every time. I also hope that we start earlier and I'm able to get my toe edge! lol But we shall see.

Back to everything else. The results for tech aren't in yet and won't be for a while. Sky is growing a playoff 'stache. And super importantly I got that job I was hoping for!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D I'm so excited. I start on Monday. There's been some other stuff going on but I don't want to talk about that just yet. But alas I must leave. I have a lot of stuff to do because things are going to start getting busier. Sorry it's been forever I'm going to try and stop sucking. :s

P-p-p-passion Partay!!!

Hellz yes. Yesterday I had my passion party. It was not as big a turnout as I thought it would be but it was still pretty good. We still have a bit of subway left... anyone want a sandwich? My new friend, Krista, made some cheese balls and coconut shrimp and I barely have any of those left. While the girls were downstairs partying some of the guys were upstairs putting a dent in the massive amount of beer Sky and I somehow acquired.

From the beginning here. At 1600 Sky and I went to pick up the subway platters. When we got back to the rec room the passion party consultant got there just a couple minutes later. So we let her in and she started setting up. Sky and I went up and grabbed some things from the apartment and then he left to go get Krista. At four thirty a friend (K) showed up. The consultant had everything set up so we (her, K, and I) were all hanging out, talking, waiting for other people when the door opens; it's some guy holding pizza. He's standing there staring at us and we're just staring back at him. I say "I think you have the wrong tower, who are you looking for?" As he's about to talk he sees the table, he says "Oh.... you have... that..." (probably referring to the huge, bright pink, double ended dildo) and he starts slowly and awkwardly backing out of the room. It was REALLY amusing. So after that happened I was starting to get concerned about everyone else. I called Gian (he was bringing Satoko) but he didn't pick up. Then I called Kyle (he was bringing Heidi and her friend) but he didn't pick up. Right after that Michelle walked in, she was pretty surprised that no one was there yet. I told her that I called and asked her if she had her friend's (that she invited) number. She told me she lived in my tower, on my floor and it turned she's my next door neighbor. lol So Michelle went upstairs to get D and then I called and got a hold of both Gian and Kyle. So Gian came in first and got the key to my apartment since Sky wasn't back with Krista yet. Then Kyle came and Heidi and her her friend. (*Note: I can't remember Heidi's friend's name so I'm going to call her "Scully" and if she reads this I hope she won't be mad at me for that. But other readers, the story behind Scully is that Sky started calling her that because of the color of her hair and it stuck. She doesn't like it very much though.)

So we started right before Krista showed up. We played a game. Then Krista got there for the second game. Then we played one more. Then got some food and the consultant started her show. I had a ton of fun. Michelle brought me some awesome boobie brownies. See?

Okay. Well I'm FINALLY going to watch Sherlock Holmes so bai.

A (mostly) wicked awesome Valentine's day!!

But I'll start off with the night before...

We went to dinner after Michelle got off work. She and Gian took us to the huge Vikings out in Hachinohe as a thanks for watching their furbabies while they were in Sopporo. We decided we'd head to Nitori (housewares type store) first so they could look at the beds that were available. So we wandered around in there for a bit and then we went back to the car so we could go eat. Gian turns the key in the ignition and it makes this sad little sound and then just dies... He kept trying and at first everything would turn on (lights, radio etc) but after a few times none of that stuff would come on and it didn't even click. We started to freak out a bit because it was cold, we were like an hour away from Misawa, we were starving, and even with all four of us we spoke a sad amount of Japanese. After a while a Japanese guy came up and talked to Sky and Gian a little and then he left. We guessed he was going to get jumper cables. While he was gone though, my husband being a total badass got it to start. We waited around for a long time but the guy didn't come back so we left. We felt kind of like assholes but we couldn't wait any longer. So random Japanese guy if you're reading this for some reason gomen!!!

We were dumbasses though because we decided to roll the dice after Sky got the car started and go eat anyway. So we ate a ton of food and then we went to leave, and of course the car wouldn't start again so Sky had to get on the ground under the car in like four inches of snow to bang on the starter to get it to start.

So in the morning Sky and I got up and got ready and headed over to Michelle and Gian's where we met up with them, Chris, and Satoko so we could go boarding. We headed over to Makado. Our first two runs we went on the shorter lift. I failed some but not terrible. Then our last run we went all the way to the top which you actually have to take two lifts up to. That's when I started to fail more. lol I rode with Satoko at the top and when I got off I fell and knocked into her and then the lift hit her and then she hit a pole on the side. I felt so bad! I bet she never wants to ride a lift with me again. I also made Michelle face-plant. I hit Chris once but he didn't fall. I hit Sky a few times, never made him fall, but I snowboarded over his brand new board. :( I felt really bad about that.

I did alright. I really need to learn to be on my toe edge. I also need to learn how to turn better. I'm sort of getting the hang of stopping without falling. But we discovered that I can ride regular or goofy, which I guess is odd. But whatev.

I really only hurt myself really bad once. I was going along and this little girl, who was maybe four, was skiing and cut in front of me. She was so close to me that her skis hit my board so the only way I could stop was by throwing myself on the ground. I dislocated my shoulder pretty bad but I was able to get it back in and get all the way down. I fell on it once more at almost the very bottom of the mountain and then I decided I was done for the day. I didn't think I could take another hit to that shoulder. It seems better now. Only hurts when there is pressure on it. Hopefully in a couple days it'll be all better.

Enjoy this pic from Makado of all of us.

I GOT MY RINGS!!!

I'm so excited!!! They're gorgeous!!! Here's a picture.

Lol. Sorry about the super shiny fingers, I had just put lotion on. Apparently I used a bit much.

Anyway, I'm still thrilled about them and I wanted to come post the pictures. We're going to dinner tonight out in Hachinohe with Gian and Michelle so I may post again after that.

Kyle's ALS Graduation

So tonight was Kyle's ALS graduation. I'm pretty sure all of you know what that means but in case some of you don't it stands for Airman Leadership School. Everyone has to go to it after making staff to learn how to become an NCO. We actually had a pretty good time. Those things can get kind of boring but it was nice having friends around. Plus most of the speakers tried to be short and amusing so that was nice too. I totally rocked a kimono! lol I was told by some guy that I was hands down the best dressed tonight. ^____^ That was pretty cool. Here's a picture.

It's such a pretty kimono! Mad props to my friend who help me put it on and did my hair. I have no clue how she gets it on all by herself! That's crazy! Also, I know it's a bit TMI but it's kinda hard to pee in those things! lol Seriously, though, rather difficult. Also, I know why people in kimonos are always kneeling. The obis are not really conducive to sitting. I needed like a barstool or something. It was so weird to sit. And I couldn't crack my back. That was like the first thing I did when I got out of the kimono.

But yeah, I had a good time. But I'm super tired so I think I'm going to head to bed. We'll probably go snowboarding this weekend so I'll blog about that. Also, I get my rings back tomorrow so I'll try and get a good picture of those. おやすみみなさん! (Good night everybody!)

Sooooooooo....

I started blogging on Friday but ended up not being able to finish because midway through I got a call from Sky (at about 1630) asking me if I had a dress ready because we needed to be at a banquet at 1800. (Awesome, huh?) So I get off the computer and jump in the shower and get all dolled up. Sky had not much time to get his blues ready but we succeeded and got to the e-club early. We had no clue what we were doing there, Sky was just asked to get ready and call his Chief when we got to the club. Turns out we were there so Sky could represent him because he couldn't attend. So here we are a SSgt and his wife sitting in the spots for a CMSgt and his wife surrounded by more CMSgts, SMSgts, and selects for Chief and Senior MSgt. Not awkward at all... lol. Luckily a friend of mine was there. So that was cool. Well we both had a couple of drinks so we took a cab home.

Saturday morning Sky got up before me and went and got the truck. I told him to wake me up when he got home and he did. He told me he went to the BX and started showing me all this stuff he came home with. He showed me a bear, a bag with perfume and body wash, and a reusable shopping bag. He said they gave him all the stuff for free. I asked if they were having a promotion or something and he said yeah, and then he pulled out a box and said they also gave me this, he opened it and there was my new bridal set. A princess cut diamond solitaire and a matching white gold band. (I can't get a good picture though :( )I cried because it was so sweet of him to go out and get it for me. Completely unexpected. I was hoping I would get it around Christmas this year but I guess he thought it was too long. The reason I needed new rings is because mine were tearing my finger up. They're not comfort fit bands, it's kind of hard to explain but I can't wear them anymore. lol Unfortunately the rings are too big so I can't wear them on my ring finger right now but they're so pretty that I've been wearing them on my middle finger. I think I might start a new trend. :p

We had Roxy this weekend while Michelle and Gian were in Sapporo. She was been fun, exhausting sometimes, but fun. I gave her her first doggy ice cream. She seemed to love it.
Here she is eating some off a spoon.

(Isn't she effen adorable??)

Michelle and Gian got back tonight and came by to pick them up. They also brought us some cookies that can only be purchased in Hokkaido. They're tasty! They have to be all complex though lol. They were wrapped, then in a box, then individually wrapped. I don't think I've ever worked so hard for cookies.

Awesomely delicious. Man, everyone is trying to get me fat though! lol Michelle and Gian bringing cookies, Sky bought me an effen three pound heart. That's right. Three pounds! Apparently there isn't enough of me and Sky wants to make more. Three pounds more, maybe? lol

In other news I drove all around base tonight. In snow and ice! Yay for Sky drinking and us being hungry and lazy lol. That was the motivation. Food. I'll do a lot of things for food. It's definitely the people that make me so uncomfortable driving. I only got REALLY nervous when we fishtailed a little bit, but I'd say that's understandable. So after Sky tests (when he has more time) we're going to drive around at night when people aren't really on the road and get me really comfortable with everything and then slowly I'll start venturing out to places during the day. So that's the plan.

.... Yeah.... so I've pretty much got nothing else to say and I'm tired as hell so... night.

PS: How do you like the new background?

Snowboarding in Shichinohe

Today I went snowboarding with Michelle and Satoko. The guys couldn't come because they've been working A LOT and on really crazy schedules so they needed to sleep and relax. We had a blast! We went to a place in Shichinohe called Sogamori. We started off on the bunny slopes where I got off to a really rough start. I kept falling, I needed help getting up, it was crazy. But Michelle and Satoko were starting to look bored so I decided let's just go up, it's a small slope anyway. Here's a picture of how big it is.

(This is the front, we went down the back.)

So I decided let's just go on the lift. I got on the lift great, getting off was a much different story. I was still holding on to the chair and the guy starts yelling at me... needless to say I ate some serious shit. I twisted my leg wrong, but luckily I landed on my board so I sort of just sledded off to the side out of the way. My leg hurt pretty badly but I decided to keep going. Man, the first go it took me FOREVER to get down. I continued to bust ass but Michelle and Satoko were very patient with me. Satoko even had to get out of her board a few times to come help me up. lol It was pretty bad. So when we finally got to the bottom (like an hour and a half later, no joke) we decided we needed a break. We had already unstrapped from our boards and there was a small hill on the way to the rest area so we decided to sled it (which we had done earlier in the day) and somehow I got turned around and then I looked over my shoulder and saw a board hauling ass down the hill toward the building and I look down and I'm not on my board. I looked up in terror (it was a rented board) as it slammed against the building and bounced off. It was pretty amusing, I wish someone had gotten it on video. Obviously the board was fine (it even got all the snow cleaned off from the impact :D) and we went in for a break. After a short breather Satoko went down once alone and seriously only took like 10 minutes (lift included) and then we decided to go down it together once more.

The second time around I did SOOOOO much better. I only fell a couple of times, I was able to get up by myself. It was a blast. We made it down in like 10 to 15 minutes (not including the lift). I didn't fall directly off the lift but there is a barrier and I thought I wasn't going to be able to stop so I grabbed on to Satoko but when she tried to stop my board ran into hers and I accidentally brought her down right on top of me. It was amusing, it's too bad Michelle didn't see it. Satoko is so funny, because even though it was completely my fault she kept apologizing to me. I didn't even get hurt because she weighs like, nothing. Anyway, point is, snowboarding is awesome. I can't wait to go again. Sky and I might go by ourselves next weekend so he can give me some one on one training. But here, enjoy some action shots of me.

Okay, well now I'm tired and want to go to bed. Oyasumi.
