The weekend

Was super fun and apparently extremely exhausting!!! lol I'm wicked tired for some reason but I really should be doing my PSYC homework. I'd like to do it as early as possible since Michelle and I start Japanese tomorrow. Soooo.... let's see. Friday was uneventful. Michelle, Gian, and I had already planned on going to go to the Asamushi Aquarium Saturday morning so... Here's an overview.

Saturday: We were planning on leaving at 0930 and we were going to go to the ATM and get yen and everything. So the night before I set my alarm for 0700... and 0710... and 0730... AND I asked my sister to call me at 0800 to make sure I was up. So what happens? I wake up to the doorbell ringing at 0930 (yeah... thanks Desiree :p) I bolt out of bed and run to get the door. I open it and very sheepishly announce to Michelle that I slept through ALL my alarms and that I would only be a minute. (Good thing I showered Friday night) So I rush around and get ready and then we head out. We get on the road a full half hour late. Yeah... I felt like an asshole. They're super cool though so they only made fun of me a little. :D

So we get to the aquarium and we were given little flyers that show everything we can see and we saw that the Jumping Dolphins show was starting. So we go over to the theater and it is PACKED. It was about 1130. So we talked about what to do and just decided we would catch the 1300 showing. So we walked around. It was quite a small aquarium but it had a lot of really cool, really strange, and really ugly things. (I'll post a few pictures below) So we saw pretty much everything including the Jumping Dolphin show and the Sea Otter feeding show (they're super cute by the way). We got a couple videos of the dolphins and the sea otters as well as some of the sea lions (including one where a sea lion was chasing it's own tail, it was rather amusing.) So here, enjoy some random out of order pictures with no captions. :D

So there was the Asamushi Aquarium.

After that we went back to my house so I could pick up some stuff and stay at their place. We went and hung out there a while and then we headed to a Chinese restaurant that I can't remember the name of. It was pretty good. The only problems I had was the lack of stuff in the fried wontons (they had like tiny pieces of chicken in the very corner) and the fact that they were pricey. But the food was yummy. After we ate we went back to their house and played some poker and scrabble. We played poker first. Two games, the first game Michelle won and the second one I won. Then Gian won at scrabble (by like... a lot lol). Then we watched Scrubs and passed out.

Sunday: We woke up and bummed around watching more Scrubs. Then we finally got up and went to the commissary (which was super crowded and lame) and then I dropped my stuff off at home really quick and they dropped me off at the theater where I met up with Peggy and FINALLY watched Star Trek... and it was EFFEN AWESOME!!! I would have sat straight through a second showing if there was one! We've pretty much decided to see it again. Maybe I can understand more of what Chekov is saying. :p Srsly... that movie rocks. Go see it. (Yeah, you too Danielle and Michelle!! lol)

So now I'm going to do some homework since I start Japanese tomorrow. I'll try and do cleaning too. So... later!

Awww... :(

No Star Trek today. Our plans got ruined so we're going on Sunday... I stayed home, finally cleaned my kitchen (WOOT!) and watched a butt load of That '70s Show.

Hmmmm... Well, sorry about the baby post but that was like all I did today. So... later.

YAYNESS!!!!

I drove the Subaru!!! And aside from the fog, the being too far from the pedals, the intitial problems we had at first from the car being stationary, the having to move from parking lot to parking lot, the cotton mouth, and the feelings of nausea I think I did pretty well. :p Srsly though.

I'm really glad I met all these great people who are willing to get in a stick shift with me and get headaches and whiplash. Michelle and Gian took me out tonight. They were awesome. Gian totally digs the car. :D This weekend (I think) he's going to help me check the brakes and help me fix the lever that moves the driver's seat forward and back. And tonight he even filled the tires with air and checked my oil. So Michelle, Gian... you guys kick ridiculous amounts of ass!

But I'm tired so I shall blog later.

Plan for tomorrow:
STAR TREK, BABY, YEAH!!!! :D :D :D

Past few days update

Sorry! I was going to blog "yesterday" (technically the day before but I'm going to say yesterday) but for some reason my browsers weren't working for me.

So anyway, yesterday I got up at like 9 something or 10 and got ready, talked to Sky for a bit and then Michelle came and picked me up at 11. We went to the BX and she bought Twilight and then we went to this awesome beach and laid out for an hour. Then we ran to the commissary to get the last things for dinner. After that we headed back to her house where we met up with Gian (her husband) and we all got ready and went to the pool where he proceeded to kick my ass (he was a swimmer in high school and is in really good shape, I on the other hand am none of the above). After I inhaled about 2 gallons of pool water (all through my nose) we finally left and headed back to their house where Michelle cooked for us. We then had cookies and watched Twilight. (Oh I read the first book the day before) Then they dropped me off at home.

Today I woke up and was trying to snooze when my phone rang. It was Peggy and she told me she was bringing me breakfast. I am getting pretty spoiled! :D After I had breakfast and we talked a while I did a little homework and then I went to the club to get my permit. Then I headed to the post office and ended up having a ton of packages so I called Michelle to see if she'd be willing to help me out and if she wanted to hang out afterward. So she and Gian came and picked me up and we ended up going back to their house (after a quick trip to the commissary) and the fed me again. I love going over there! Seriously, they ALWAYS have three course meals. They're both such good cooks. I think the next meal is going to be Michelle's chili. Mmmm... I'm like a perfect help for them because Michelle hates tossing food and I'm there to help ensure it all gets eaten. :D Mmm... After dinner I taught them to play Texas Hold 'em (although we'll have to do that again with actual poker chips) and then we played Scrabble. Michelle won both games. She made sure to rub it in too! ;) Anyway, I'm tired and talking to Sky so I'll update with more later.

Some randomness...

Let's see...

I read Twilight, Michelle dropped by to give me the second book so I guess I'll start that when I go to bed tonight. Tomorrow we're going to watch the movie, go swimming, and then have dinner.

I've just been working on school other than that. There's been a package of mine at the post office for a while that I've been too lazy to get. I'm going to get a second notice here in a few days so I'll see if I can pick that up tomorrow maybe.

This term is almost over and the next one is almost starting. I'm excited to start Japanese. Plus, I'm going to make Michelle be my gym buddy! We're going to try and figure out a schedule. I'm thinking three days weight training and three days swimming. Maybe I'll wait to add actual heavy cardio until I get good bras. Desiree is going to be getting them for me but it is still going to be a few more weeks I think.

In psychology right now I'm reading about psychological disorders and I just have to say whoever named the phobia of long words hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia was a sick bastard. :p I mean srsly. That's not very nice. They can't even tell people about it! Although I have to admit I was amused there is a name for people who have a phobia of peanut butter sticking to the roof of their mouths. It's called arachibutyrophobia. I wouldn't think that was very common but apparently it is common enough to have a name.

I did some cleaning and some homework today and I'll do some more tomorrow. But I think I'm too tired to do homework now. So... deuce.

Saving grace...

I miss my husband so incredibly much! I know I'm being kind of a girl but I wish I could go see him. To make things worse there are a lot of spouses there visiting now and although he knows that I would go in a heartbeat he also knows why I can't. But I really want to. And of course now I'm being like this huge girl because he sent me the this video on youtube and told me he was going to learn it and play it for me... yeah... I cried. :s

Moving on from the depressing stuff... I went to Peggy's last night for a BBQ and luckily no one thought I was an infant. I kind of just stuck around with Peggy and her neighbors (who I totally dig) so it wasn't like I was hanging out with a bunch of randomers.

We had fun. We had some food. Hade some sake. Had some conversation. It was cool. Now I need to finish the last bit of homework I have for this week and clean my house for like three days straight because it is wrecked. I haven't mopped in longer than I'd like to admit. :p

Oh... and Saving Grace? Sky will understand. ;)

**YAWN**

I'm tired and don't feel good. I have two questions left on this quiz but I just cannot bring myself to answer them yet. Luckily it isn't due till Sunday.

Man, I've just been off my rocker the past couple of days. I've been all crazy and hormonal... I really feel bad for my hubby. I really hope I can find a way to control my craziness before we have kids. :s

Peggy told me about a job opening at the Misawa Inns but I think I'm going to try and get my license first. Plus with that and school and me trying to get into a workout routine I don't want to over do it. So we shall see. I'll keep you updated with that.

I'm tired and hungry and ate like four nutter butters today.

And I know I'm totally late but I'm stoked that Shawn Johnson won Dancing With The Stars!

That is all...
